It looks like we lost 13 of our 20 colonies going into the winter. How did we loose them. We have several theories, Pesticides, weakened colonies from mites, bad genetics. We treated for mites this year with Hops..just like what is in the beer. Not a great year for honey, however the little we harvested was WONDERFUL. I have 14 Carniolan packages ordered so we will be back to 21 this spring. Let’s hope for a good year.
